Regional finalists announced

Regional training award contenders are down to the final few, with regional finalists announced for all seven regions in the 2020 Queensland Training Awards.

From more than 700 nominations, finalists have been selected across 11 regional categories.

The regional finalists represent the best in vocational education and training (VET) — including apprentices, trainees, vocational students, VET teachers and trainers, as well as employers and community-based organisations.

A wide range of industries and occupations feature among the high calibre group, ranging from agribusiness and aeroskills through to carpentry and childcare, health and horticulture, mechanical and meat production, and water and website management.

Congratulations and good luck to this year’s regional finalists.

To all nominees — and their nominators and supporters — thank you for getting involved and sharing your passion, dedication and success in VET.

We look forward to celebrating our finalists and crowning our winners in September.

Time to celebrate and share success

We have a special message for all our 2020 Queensland Training Award nominees and finalists — ‘now is the time to celebrate you!’

Being a 2020 participant is a big deal. This year has served up many challenges and, amongst it all, you’ve worked hard to compile a nomination and, for finalists, prepare for interviews.

Give yourself a pat on the back and share your success with the people around you.

Use promotional materials emailed to you on social media and online — and celebrate your achievements and the importance of training.

Packs out now include:

  • 2020 proud nominee
  • 2020 regional finalist.
If you have not received your nominee or finalist social media promotional pack, please contact your local QTA coordinator
